The purpose of this blog is to keep family and friends updated with the most recent news on Matthew. It will also document his biggest trial to date and serve as a reminder of how many people love and support him, and how much the Lord loves him when he has beat this terrible disease.

Fasting, Prayers and Hope

Sunday, September 2

Today was amazing because so many people fasted and prayed for Matthew. His name was put into multiple temples, and people everywhere, even those who don't know him fasted and prayed.
Later that day, the marrow samples came back inconclusive, which filled us with hope that it could just be a tumor. Around 5PM that evening they moved Matthew to the oncology floor. I slept easier that night, but there was still the possibility that the tumor could be malignant. My family was so touched by the amount of people who care about Matthew, and we definitely felt the comfort of everyone's prayers.

Today they took a blood sample with a machine that shot a puff of air to numb his arm before putting in the needle. It was kind of cool because it left a small welt on his arm:
