The purpose of this blog is to keep family and friends updated with the most recent news on Matthew. It will also document his biggest trial to date and serve as a reminder of how many people love and support him, and how much the Lord loves him when he has beat this terrible disease.

Another Day in Paradise

The nurses came in around noon today and told my parents that Matthew's counts are still too low for him to go home. Again, we were all very depressed. Everything hanging in his room and almost all of the things people have brought him have been brought home and set up in his bedroom because we thought he would be home by now. Hopefully tomorrow though...

I went in again today to keep him company. We watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off because he had never seen it before. That is a movie everyone should see, so naturally I took it upon myself to educate him. He loved it. Although, after the credits were over Ferris came back on the screen and said that the movie was over and to go home. When T heard that he just sarcastically said, "Okay." haha It was kind of funny, but mostly sad because that's the thing he wants the most.

  2. I know how much you want him home, but so glad they are keeping tabs on his white count at the hospital - you just can't take chances since his immunity is so low right now to everything. The medicine to boost thst will start to work soon, I'm sure, and get those counts up!! Our continued prayers are going out to Matthew and your family!
