Matthew had fevers all night last night, so now he can't come home until Tuesday at the earliest because he has to be fever free for 48 hours. He's back on antibiotics trying to take care of this. We are all extremely disappointed because we were counting on him coming home today. We're hoping that he gets released soon so he can have more time at home before he has to go back in for his next round of chemo. Right now he can't leave his room because they are making sure he doesn't have an infection. Visitors can still come, but they have to wear a yellow gown, sanitize their hands, and no one can touch him. If anyone has even a little bit of a cough or the sniffles they aren't allowed in the room. His personality is really starting to come back. Today is the most himself he has been in a long time. The really great news is that he has gained 2.6 pounds. I never thought watching him eat food would bring so much joy...haha
